Zak wrote Netflix's I USED TO BE FAMOUS, a BIFA nominated, music-infused feature film which reached Number 4 in the global charts in its opening week on Netflix. He wrote it with Eddie Sternberg and it's been seen by over 40m subscribers.

Zak is a filmmaker from London whose work has won international awards and been commissioned by Netflix. He makes work that's funny, lyrical and compassionate.
CONTRACTOR 014352 (trailer below) written by Zak and starring Johnny Flynn, won Best European Short at Brest Film Festival 2017, Grand Jury Prize at Kinematic Shorts and Best Screenplay at Lift-off Global Awards. It was broadcast on French TV by Canal+ in 2018 and 2019.
Zak's short film THE ELEVATOR PITCH opened the London Short Film Festival 2014 and received a Vimeo Staff Pick. Zak's first short DELETING EMILY (which he also directed) has been in distribution with ShortsTV for 11 years. In 2021 Zak wrote and directed TWO STARS SHORT. The short comedy has won two awards.
Editing
Zak also works as an Offline Editor for TV and Film, with credits including Netflix's F1: DRIVE TO SURVIVE, Amazon Prime's reality series 007's RACE TO A MILLION, and Pulse Films’ docu-series ANATOMY OF A CHAMPION.
Zak has cut short films, TV sizzle reels which led to commissions, and documentaries. He's worked with post production teams at Pulse Films, 72 Films, Box to Box, Rogan Productions, Future Studios, Raw, BBC Studios, Expectation TV and October Films.
